Brownies Cary Style – A Family-Famous Recipe From a True Brownie Pro!
Every family has that one person who just knows how to make something better than anyone else. In our family, that person is Cary—my sister-in-law and a full-on brownie pro. She has perfected the art of the rich, fudgy, can’t-stop-eating-them brownie, and this recipe is her masterpiece.
These brownies fill an entire cookie sheet, making them perfect for parties, gatherings, or any moment when you want to make the whole house smell like warm chocolate. And if you’re baking for a smaller crowd? The recipe halves beautifully into a 9x13 pan.

Brownies Cary Style!
Ingredients
2 cups oil
4 cups sugar
1 ¼ cups cocoa
8 eggs
3 cups flour
2 teaspoons salt
4 teaspoons vanilla
---
Method
1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
2. In a large bowl, mix oil, sugar, and cocoa until smooth.
3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
4. Fold in flour and salt just until combined.
5. Stir in vanilla.
6. Pour into a greased cookie sheet pan (or a 9x13 pan if halving the recipe).
7. Bake at 350°F:
Full batch: 20 minutes
Half batch: 17–19 minutes
Brownies are done when the edges are set and a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
8. Cool completely before cutting for ultimate fudginess.

Tips:
Don’t overbake—fudgy is the goal.
Let them cool before slicing (the hardest step).
Use good cocoa for the richest flavor.
