Maple Vinaigrette with Sugared Nut & Strawberry Salad
This salad is one of my favorite go-tos when I want something fresh, sweet, and a little bit fancy without much effort. The crunchy sugared nuts pair perfectly with juicy strawberries, and the maple vinaigrette brings it all together with a subtle sweetness that’s just right. Perfect for a quick lunch or a light dinner side!
What You’ll Need
Salad Stuff:

6 cups mixed greens (whatever you like—spinach, arugula, spring mix)

1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced other berries can substitute here as well

1/2 cup sugared nuts Pecans or Walnuts are good (recipe below)

A little bit of crumbled feta or goat cheese (totally optional)

Thin slices of red onion (optional, if you like a little bite)
For the Maple Vinaigrette:

3 tablespoons pure maple syrup

2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar (or white wine vinegar)

1 teaspoon Dijon mustard

1/4 cup olive oil
-
Salt and pepper
Sugared Nuts:

1/2 cup pecans or walnuts
-
1 tablespoon maple syrup
-
Pinch of salt
Method:
Sugared Nuts First:

Heat your oven to 350°F.

Mix the nuts with maple syrup and a pinch of salt.

Spread them out on a baking sheet lined with parchment.

Bake for about 8–10 minutes, stirring halfway through, until they’re toasted and caramelized.

Let them cool before tossing into the salad.
Maple Vinaigrette:

Whisk together maple syrup, vinegar, and Dijon mustard.

Slowly add the olive oil while whisking to get a nice smooth dressing.

Add salt and pepper to taste.
Putting It All Together:

Toss the greens, strawberries, and onions (if you’re using them) in a big bowl.

Drizzle on the maple vinaigrette and mix gently.

Top with the sugared nuts and cheese if you want.
