Grandma Bagley's Ginger Cookies

While I was little my sweet Grandma would often send a big plate of these home with my Dad from work. I didn't love them then, but since my tastes have matured. I love the way that the stronger flavors allow me to stealthily substitute whole wheat flour and healthier sugar substitutes. We all love them!
